I was wondering why some drivers in Nascar run in the Nationwide series (jeff burrton, kyle busch, etc.) and others appear to? I was wondering why some choose to do it and why some don’t?
Money
Fun
Experience
Sponsors
Info they might be able to use in the Cup series
Well many do to show out, but some just do it as practice….
mainly because they love to race
some of them go to places in the middle of the week and race just to be racin’
What Hawk M said. Only reason to do so.
always learning about tracks, prestige, money, mostly to hone thier skills (I am just guessing).
Dude, watching the N-wide race…and I was just thinking about that..
I dunno why they are… but its not fair for those new NASCAR guys..They need their own little series to win and to experience racing… maybe NASCAR should allow Sprint drivers to enter N-wide races often… not every race…
To learn the track and its dynamics.
Besides, it’s just a lot of fun and sponsors love it.
They make more money and plus it gives them a chance to run without having to worry about points. I wish they would cut back though since I want to see some Busch…oops…I mean Nationwide regulars get some wins.
thats a good question, for us in Europe, F1 drivers are not doing GP2 races or Porsche Super Cup, both run with F1 the same weekend
Money, track experience. A lot of sponsors go for the big names in the smaller races.
