What should the NASCAR schedule be?

What would you like the NASCAR schedule to be? What tracks would you take out, put in, move around, give more races to, or take races away from? or put up a whole 36 race schedule. It will be interesting to see all the ideas. I personally would like for 36 races to be at 36 different tracks.

I agree. But i sort of like Talledega and Daytona a lot but i dont like road coures or Martinsville. Memphis might be a new NASCA Rtrack next year becauase they bought it.

Here’s what I’d like to see. My suggestions would never work as they are designed to fit my eye and not that of the masses. I would totally get rid of ‘Dega. I hate plate racing. It bores me. Daytona can stay. I would add a couple more road coarse races. I would take away some of the 1.5 milers. I like them but there are too many. I would add a few more short track races. I could go on and on but that is the basic gist of what I’d like to see.

get rid of california and michigan.those are the 2 most boring races of the year.
as far as the # of races……….it is alot.i am sure there are people that would like to see it shortened.
kansas and las vegas are pretty uneventful also

I would like to see more short track races. Move one of the Richmond races to the Chase lineup. I’m not a fan of the road courses, so I would take them out of the schedule.

First I would dump the second California date and replace it with Iowa.
Then I would drop the second Texas date and put Rockingham back on the circuit. Then I would change the second Lowe’s race, and the chicagoland race back to day races, and put the fall Martinsville race under the lights. The last thing I would do is move the Southern 500 at Darlington back to labor day weekend where it belongs.

    1. Daytona 500 (DUH) (5 different tracks in 1st 5 races….)
    2. The ROCK
    3. California
    4. Mexico/Montreal
    5. Bristol
    6. Las Vegas
    7. Nashville
    8. Atlanta
    9. New Hampshire
    10. Talladega
    11. Martinsville (From biggest to smallest….I like it)
    (All star break at Daytona-infield)
    12. Charlotte
    13. Dover
    14. Pocono
    15. Texas
    16. Sonoma
    17. Daytona (really, the biggest race should have the 1st sequel)
    18. Chicago
    19. Richmond
    20. Kentucky
    21. Indy
    22. New Hampshire
    23. Michigan
    24. Bristol
    25. Darlington
    26. Las Vegas (10 different venues in chase races)
    27. Pocono
    28. Dover
    29. Kansas
    30. Talladega
    31. Charlotte
    32. Martisville
    33. Watkins Glen
    34. California
    35. Phoenix
    36. Homestead Miami
Beast Lineup. Only 10 repeat tracks. The rock gets its no. 2 date back, The Lady in Black gets her Labor day date. Move the All star race to Daytona Infield to see if they’re really all stars. Put the Glen, Pocono in the chase. Vegas is a good last regular season race. Add Nashville, Kentucky, and Montreal/Mexico. get rid of dates in Atlanta, Texas, Michigan, and Phoenix. Maybe put Richmond in the chase and get rid of the other California date. This would add variety, making the whole season more interesting. And FOX gets the whole season. I can’t take ESPN.

take out the boring races like New Hampshire, Michigan, Texas, California and every track except Daytona and Talladega should only have 1 race especially the boring races like Pocono snooze!!! I would like to see the schedule down to around 30 races a year, I think they deserve a longer break! and put a road course in the chase.

I’d give a race back to Rockingham and the Southern 500 labor day race back to Darlington. California would no longer be on the schedule.

  9. Billy says:

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

The format change is a goo idea however, how about something completely different. Cannon Ball run style racers will race in all 48 contiguous states. Close some highways, freeways and back roads. Drivers go back and forth but the pit crews have time to get to the next pit stop before the divers. NO speed limit. NO restrictor plates. No yellow flags and NO slower drivers on the inside lane. Racers will drive from Saturday morning until Saturday afternoons, sometime under the lights at night.

48 weekends of racing the guys get 4 weeks to them selves then they do it again ;-)
