what prevents Nascar teams from getting a manufacturer to build the perfect car?

I read that Toyota used to get too involved with racing teams. how does Nascar verify teams are not geting expert help from a manufacturer?

would it be cheating to use a manufacturer’s scientists and engineers? don’t they want the best performance from the car?

Ford already builds perfect cars. It’s just that NASCAR is blatantly biased in favor of Chevy :^(

manufactures have their hands tied by nascar, these are spec cars,

Auto manufacturers have nothing to do with it. NASCAR has strict rules on the building of the car. Including engine etc. All the auto guys do is provide decals.
The cars are not built with “frames”. They are made from Chrome-Moly tubing for strength.

I personally do not think I would want the manufacturers input on buildnig my race car. You pay us big bucks, we’ll put your logo on the car and then you sit and be quite.

NASCAR creates vehicle specs that your car must fit. Toyota builds all the cars for all their teams. All the other teams build their own cars or buy them from other teams.
