Nascar is hot. I do not like Indy. The cars in Nascar are definitely heavier. More races

That’s kind of like asking the difference between a tangerine and a carrot. The F1 car is more of a kart, while NASCAR tends to drive a full-size car. Because the F1 car is so much lighter than the NASCAR stock car, the driver’s weight makes more of a difference in the speed of the cars for F1 than in NASCAR. F1 tends to drive road courses, while NASCAR tends to drive ovals (although there are exceptions both ways.) F1 cars are often fully funded by the automobile manufacturers, while NASCAR teams receive partial-to-no manufacturer funding. Finally, F1 tends to run in Europe and Asia, while NASCAR pretty much stays in America. Sure, real nerds will tell you there are more differences, and get into the details of qualifying differences (which there are many) as well as pit differences, but that’s all you really need to know.

F1 is known as the pinnacle of motor sport, while nascar is some stupid stock cars who goes round and round. F1 cars uses top most technology of auto engineering, while in nascar they put a big engine and just let it go. Formula 1 is one of the biggest sporting event in the world while nascar is just a stupid american racing series which is barely known outside america. Formula 1 cars are driven by worlds best racing drivers, while a cab driver can go racing in nascar. Formula 1 is big money, where nascar budget is not bigger than F1’s catering budget. F1 cars are way more advanced than any other racing cars, while nascars are nothing more than cars made out of tin.

    Everything is different.
F1 car’s are the highest tech race car’s with electronics to monitor everything and also make adjustments with. There body’s are made out of Carbon Fiber.
Nascar car’s are made out of steel. Per the rule book, Electronics are not allowed on the car’s during a race and they have a carbureted V8 to lower the costs and put the driving completely into the hands of the driver.

Nascar car’s are built to mimic regular production automobile’s you see on the street. They have small tires and weigh 3400 pounds.(which is the average weight of a street car)
F1 car’s are much lighter, not sure but like 2500 pounds(?) and have wide tires. There not suppose to mimic anything. There just what they are.

Ironically, F1 and Nascar have close to the same horsepower. 800+.
There also close on top speed. *A Dodge Nascar stock car went 243 Miles Per Hour on the Bonneville salt flat’s and an F1 car went 247 MPH.
An F1 car would more than likely smoke a Nascar stock car on a 1/4 mile drag strip.(that’s ok. that’s what Top Fuel is for. lol)

F1 race’s on road courses and street courses and each race is in a different country.
Nascar race’s primarily on ovals from 1/2 mile to 2.5 miles long with 2 road courses thrown in and race in the U.S.

F1 car’s are fragile like an aircraft and touching each other is a no-no.
Nascar car’s are tougher and can take a beating so the racing is much closer.

Many F1 driver’s have tried Nascar with limited success except for Juan Pablo Montoya. He is quoted as saying that Nascar is the hardest racing series he’s ever competed in. Also the funnest!
No Nascar driver has gone to F1. Although many have competed in Indy car’s like Robby Gordon, John Andretti and Tony Stewart who has a CART Championship!
