What do nascar drivers do if they really need to use the restroom during a race?

Do they have some kind of system so they don’t have to just go in their suit? Has a nascar driver ever lost a race because he soiled himself and blamed it on that?
jarhead did you know that is actually against the law in some states! In oregon it is against the law because hazmat crews have to pick it up. They call them pee bombs and you get in trouble for doing that.
They wear diapers.
Well I’m sure they have trained themselves to be able to block the need to use the bathroom. Diapers maybe?
xD. racecar drivers are the cause of global warming. waste of gas and i HATE nascar racing. i hope they lose because of it
like any profesional athlete ( i dont know if they are athletes officially) they get their business done before the game

They hold it in. But, if they cannot, they most likely wait for a caution. They will then pit, jump out, and use the restroom. This will all happen during the caution.
That’s why they wear such thick suits hahaha, no that’s not why its to prevent burns but it serves for two causes. Those suits aren’t easy to take off, so they have to go in the suit or just hold it a really long time. Part of being a nascar driver is having a strong bladder. Although I don’t think a driver would want to admit they went in their suit and blame the race loss on that.
Do you ever see that when a driver pulls into the pits and a crew member passes a bottle to the driver on a pole.
Well that’s what he is using to relieve himself into. You notice that they don’t put it back on the pole but after a minute they throw it out the window onto the ground.
Now you know.
Guess you don’t know sarcasam when you see it.

I have driven 18 wheelers before for 11 hours none stop. When I had to pee I just held it. Really… it’s not that hard to do. As you get older and learn not to pee in your britches or premature ejaculate then you’ll see what I mean.
they go when they finish the race. thats why they drive so fast. ever hear they saying “i gotta piss like a racehorse”???
They lose excess bodily fluids by perspiration rather than urination.
Also, going before and after the race helps too.
there is a whole lot of things that they can or cannot do while they’re driving their race car. These are mature adults who are healthy enough to control their bodily functions. An average healthy adult can control themselves. The people who can’t control themselves, usually don’t even have the ability to be competitive in sports. The race only lasts a few hours, if you can’t go a few hours without losing control of your bodily functions, you have serious problems and should seek medical attention. I know there are people who can’t control their own bodily functions, but from where I grew up, we consider these people handicapped. Not that there’s anything wrong with being handicapped, but when it comes to racing, there is no room for pity
All NASCAR drivers wear super absorbant Flame Retardent Depends.
They almost would have to have something fitted so at least they could pee’,and if they had a need for the other,I think they might even have a suppository or the like before the race.hmmm I wonder?????????

If they haven’t sweat enough liquids out they likely let loose in their britches, I doubt they give a whole lot of thought to it.. Those of you that have followed Nascar long enough will surely remember the defending series champion (at that time) messing his pants at Watkins Glen, after winning the race he went straight to his hauler and came out in a clean firesuit for his press interview.
Boondie I was hoping someone would look up the Watkins Glen race to try and figure out who it was that crapped their pants.
They hold it they go before hand
Men can just hold it longer than women, face it. Plus they go before the race. God, If I had a penny everytime this question was asked on here, I’d be so so so rich.

As it’s been pointed out, they sweat a lot so that’s how they get rid of their fluids. If they do end up having to pee and it’s so bad that they can’t hold it, then they just pee themselves.
Tony Stewart did it in 1992 during a USAC sprint car race. I have one of his books and you can see in the pic that he peed himself. He did what he had to do, and he won that race. The problem was that he already had to pee badly BEFORE he got in the car. So I think as long as the drivers use the bathroom before the race, they’re fine.
Stewart did a similar thing in Watkins Glen in 2004, except he took it one step further. He won that race as well.

Here we go again…Aside from the 10lbs. they can lose in a race due to rapid dehydration giving them a decreased need to use the BR, as with most adults, they can just wait til the race is over. How long can you hold it without going? Seriously, think about the silliness of this question. I am sure you can come up with something else to ask.

I’ve been on drives for 10+ hours and I’ve held it, of course to the point of desperation sometimes. You learn to hold it.

yes, cale yarborough did it once but he still ended up in third place drivers are better about going b4 a race though i mean if their responsible enough to drive 500 mph then they can control their bathroom time. im obsessed, lemme no if u have anymore questions!
You know I don’t know if your serious or not… This question has been asked so many times. Dunno but I think they hold it, yeah I think thats gotta be it. They hold it!
