I am looking into future jobs and am not sure what kind of engineering I want to do but want to work for Nascar so I need to know the types of engineering involved in working for Nascar.
Aerodynamics, chassis design, seven post shakers, engine building, heads designs, shock packages, parts like team specific sway bars, tire and rubber technology, Safety testing, the continuing improvement and testing of the COT, also the Nationwide series will be introducing the new cars which will require engineers to perfect handling and safety, accident investigators, developing of energy-absorbing IMPAXX foam-based materials, CAD vitual engineering http://wardsautoworld.com/ar/auto_nascar_races_virtual/
From information I’ve found NASCAR engineers even helps our U.S. Military develop combat vehicles called ULTRA AP Armored Patrol vehicles.

Although the other guy gave a very consice answer he didn’t actually answer the question. The types of engineer you expect to find in Nascar would be design and mechanical engineers. The site below should help.
