All track is stock Tyco and old Aurora lock & joiner.

  2. stratr65 says:

Don’t have to, you can buy them. Some of the Aurora Thunderjet cars came with headlights, they’re called Flamethrowers. Check Ebay.

  3. CaptCamping says:

can you put headlights to these cars?

    great stuff!

  6. stratr65 says:

I did use HO cork. The problem is it’s just shy of 1/4″, so I used a thin strip of cardboard underneath to shim it up. Now it’s perfect!

  7. highrock12345 says:

i use ho cork road bed on turns for extra room , looks like you might have did also

  8. stratr65 says:

    Roughly 82 feet per lane.

God I love tjets. The 2 best tracks are routered or afx tracks from what I have heard?

  12. zjbeast says:

we usally race stock but we put other brushes on with silicone tires in the rear. We also lower our bodies as well.

  13. zjbeast says:

  14. stratr65 says:

Wow, I’d love to see that. Thanks for the invite. Do you have a YouTube link?

  15. zjbeast says:

man I wish I was closer. If you are ever in Buffalo NY let me know. We have a 10 lane wide tjet track.

  16. capmconnundrum says:

I had the Sterling Moss Thunderjet 500 set when I was a kid. I loved that thing! Bought other cars and sets, and had fun for years. All gone now though.

  17. stratr65 says:

    About a 35 minute drive. We’re at I94 and 9-mile.

  18. rodentcafeteria says:

I always thought that you lose time when the car drifts around the corner – even in real racing. It looks cool, but your lap times suffer. But, then again, I don’t like cars that “stick like glue” to the track, either.

hey is eastpointe near westbloomfield by anychance?

  20. stratr65 says:

H.O. scale. We’re racing Aurora Thunderjets from the 1960’s-1970’s, as well as the beautiful new H.O. cars from Dash Motorsports, AutoWorld and Johnny Lightning, all with original Aurora Thunderjet chassis. We like racing these because the cars “drift” around corners just like the real thing!

  21. marshall14572 says:

    there H O scale

  22. xBrite666 says:

    What scale are the cars?

  23. briccc4 says:

That’s awesome. I’m finishing mine for the coming season. It’s a six laner on a 4′x16′. I tried doing a long four laner but couldn’t figure out a set-up that maximized the space like yours does without some over/unders. I wish I had seen your video sooner before I went back to the six. Maybe next year. That stuff’s definitely a lot of fun. I usually have to kick my neighbors or brother out after midnight so I can go to bed.

  24. stratr65 says:

Thanks, it’s a 4′x16′ table (3 4′x5′ pieces joined). Roughly 82 feet per lane of pure H.O. enjoyment.

  25. briccc4 says:

Cool. What are the table dimensions? I like the way you maximize the space.
