Why do top Nascar drivers race in the Nationwide series?

I was wondering why some drivers in Nascar run in the Nationwide series (jeff burrton, kyle busch, etc.) and others appear to? I was wondering why some choose to do it and why some don’t?

Brendan Gaughan about to pit when Marc Davis took a hard left to the pit opening colliding with Gaughan. Gaughan was one unhappy driver as he sounds off on Davis.
