@spiritedPILOT can i ask why dont say they just go in a circle. because if u break down every sport its simple

  2. MurphyMonster says:

I live 2 hours from Daytona. Go NASCAR. Fuck everyone who hates it.
I would rather be an inbred redneck than some sissy Euro, not to say all Euros are sissy, and not to say all southerners like me are inbred rednecks

  3. monoitalian says:

Nascar driver controls car,F1 car controlled by computers.

  4. Ripisgod88 says:

Im a huge nascar fan, but I’ve never tried to push my opinion of it onto other people. It really is an aquired taste. I understand that. I like to watch F1 on speed when I wake up Sunday mornings. I dont know much about it, but its racing. A different form. If your a motorsports fan then watching racing of any type shouldn’t matter. I dont consider myself an F1 fan or a Superbike fan or the Rolex stuff, but i watch it. Because its all racing.

  5. toweronepower says:

That is a contradiction in terms is it not?

  6. toweronepower says:

ok, well Nascar sends me to sleep, F1 im on the edge of my seat never knowing whats gonna happen next

  7. afcs09 says:

How having two red flags and to many cautions to count in one race racing.

  8. bemfofao says:

NASCAR is so much spectacle than poor F1, formula 1 has high tech cars, but NASCAR have real racing with 43 cars fighting for the victory, shame on bernie ecclestone.

  10. AchromaticRefractor says:

I’m not a fan of Nascar. I was only defending it so as not to be biased.

  11. AchromaticRefractor says:

  12. dojOdRiFTeR says:

no you r a nascar fan your autpomatically inferior

  13. AchromaticRefractor says:

  14. dojOdRiFTeR says:

    r u stupid
    as fuckkkkkkkkkkk

  15. AchromaticRefractor says:

@SuperleggeraVW Not to mention a stock car is cheaper than a GT3 Cup.

  16. AchromaticRefractor says:

@SuperleggeraVW Yes, anything more than a GT3 Cup will blow by a stock car. I was merely trying to point out the fact that stock cars aren’t really all that slow. Considering the fact they drive on skinny 16 inch tires and have tiny brakes for a heavy car, they can get around a course relatively fast. I am sure with wider tires and breaking system that suited a road course they would be faster. However, there comes a point where a stock car cannot overcome its massive weight.

  17. RedzDevilz says:

@JRRacing64 Well they do the same that at the Superbowl Lol.

  18. SuperleggeraVW says:

    @AchromaticRefractor
The GT3 cup car is a less powerful version of a racing 911,used in racing series’ for drivers not yet at the top. It has the same HP as the street GT3, so really, it should be faster.

Comparing typical lap times at Mosport an ALMS GT3 car will run faster laps then a stock car. Never mind GT2 cars.

An unrestricted 911 GT3 RSR will run faster then an unrestricted stock car. The 911 has a much smaller engine and has the street cars chassis, not a custom tube frame.

  19. AchromaticRefractor says:

A stock car is faster around a road course than a Porsche GT3 Cup.

I hate the prerace show for the Daytona 500. It is way over done. I miss the days when it was 20minutes of talk then the race not 2 plus hours of the same discussions then the race. Who need those prerace concerts anyways it has nothing to do with racing ether. Just another way to get people who wouldn’t watch auto racing to tune in. You know when there over that whole audience tunes out…

  21. YUBU8 says:

    daytona but u got it

  22. Quintinohthree says:

Where, Talladega or Daytona? I know Daytona has a roadcourse, never said it didn’t.

  23. YUBU8 says:

@Quintinohthree it still does thats were they run the rolex 24 for lemans

  24. Quintinohthree says:

I’m not comparing the exception. If I were I wouldn’t say it’s an exception to make it more important.
The fact that you don’t know of other road racing than Formula one is sad though. I know touringccar racing, evolved from the same type of racing as stock car racing ut in the roadcourse direction, usualy has on track battles simmilar to stock car oval racing. Because the speeds are slower it’s also not strange to hit one another though never too hard as that will be punished.

  25. thelizardfolk says:

@Quintinohthree stock cars are inherently slower on ovals and thus will have a larger margin. Because formulas (and especially formula 1) are made for road courses. The minute you start comparing the exception, is the minute you loose the essence of both sides.

oval is about white knuckled extremely close competition. 2 wide, 3 wide, 4 wide. racing like formula 1 is more about personal handling skill and tactic. But much much less about on course competition.
