I agree 100%
I always have Nascar fever as well but in January I start watching clips and videos on youtube from old races, I also have the Daytona 50th Anniversary collection.
i dont xD
Start watching Speed, go on-line and check out the schedule, and heckle my Schwan’s guy – he’s a Jimmie Johnson fan… We have an on-going rivalry.
Watching Speed daily during the Trackside live and Preseason Thunder shows. Reading the news daily on Jayski. Hanging out in this forum more, etc etc etc.
I usually start pouring over all the good website of the teams and drivers and see who is new or has changed up. It seems like there is something happening everyday after the checkered flag at Homestead to the green flag at the Bud Shootout and up to the 500. Busy time of year for the computer, eye’s and fingers.
I start getting the grill cleaned and getting propane. Start bringing out all my Nascar gear, and start watching Speed TV and get all my Jr Nation gear ready. I’m ready right now!!
Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2009
“practice” drinking beer & organizing a big race party
right now i’m making room for the 2009 die cast cars. i bought two 50 R-DVD packs to record the races this year. i have me a chair like the ones you’d take to a sporting event in my bedroom. i take that thing out and sit in it as if i’m really at the race.
i’ve been re-watching a few past races on DVD, and buying a few NASCAR magazines. i plan on watching all three NASCAR races, and the ARCA / re max races that take place at Daytona. i’m also going to watch the Toyota All * (star) showdown on speed.
i’m also saving some money to order a few pizzas while watching my races on tv.
I am always prepared and I always have Nascar fever. I watch a lot of re-runs of Nascar races.
You don’t need to do all this “preparing” to be a fan. Fan is measured in how passionate you are about the SPORT, not the preparation and merchandise.
