NICE!! These were the days when the cars could be ID’d from the “cheap seats” not like todays cookie cut shaped cars :(

Great vid! NASCAR basically ceased being great & truly entertaining when they started building custom-built racecars rather than making them from actual STOCK cars. (It’s National Association of STOCK Car Auto Racing, NOT National Association of CUSTOM-BUILT-RACECAR Auto Racing, for christ’s sake!)

The final nail in the coffin of NASCAR’s past greatness was when it became an overcommercialized series, really commencing around the early 1990’s, imo.

    R.I.P. to the once-great NASCAR!

True, I was just explaining the probable reason behind the awkward title to this clip.

  12. scook120 says:

Chevy did not compete with any factory entries as GM banned support for racing. A few independent drivers drove GM cars as well.

    How sweet it was.

  14. greeneyefull says:

man this period of American mucsle cars still looks great and with the times ,they look better than the new cars that is for sale these days

  15. nascargas says:

Its just how he titled it. More correctly would have been “Dodge/Ford/Chevy – NASCAR…”

  16. IMP4EVR says:

dodge/ford? that sounds like sony/microsoft to me… i mean it doesnt make any sence. can someone explain to me please?

  17. canadiantimberwolf1 says:

I remember hearing that The Birds were banned and Hemi was also banned as they were concidered an unfair advantage to the chev and ford boys.I will tell you one car that gave dodge a good run was not a chev,It as the Telladagas from ford, between the two makers, they made some great racing. Allison and Petty…what a pair

  18. artisticvandals says:

I don’t think Kyle is in the booth, I think it was last year, exactly it ain’t right, well Petty Enterprises is now Richard Petty Motorsports

  22. rebelstang says:

frank) Yep! He’s in the booth now?
    or was last year.
    It Just Doesn’t Seem Right,
Not To Have, a Petty Racing.
    Have a Good One!

  23. frankisfunny2007 says:

but Kyle isn’t in NASCAR anymore, first time EVER that NASCAR hasn’t got a Petty since Nascar was made
