The Scottish influence of Dixie (the Cross of St. Andrews). Darrell seems to be in the “short track promoter” in this clip. He mentions in his book about being on the local short track’s show to get fans in the stands on Saturday nights. He also learned to present non-racing shows and was Ralph Emery’s substitute many times, and you see that here.

You know, a country song about NASCAR would possibly be the last place you’d expect to hear bagpipes, but they make such a nice touch to the song.

everyone has their own preference, my favorites are allen bestwick and rick allen to be honest – I was Rusty fan when he raced, don’t like him as a commentator that much though, 50% of his words are “right now” and Dr. Jerry Punch is just repetative and Bill Webber never speaks, and you’re kind of glad he never does.
